We believe bidding in our auctions is an exciting experience and the price we charge for the seats allows our users to enjoy that experience.
Each of our auctions offers bidders an excellent opportunity to acquire something of value and we achieve this by using the money from the seats to pay for the lot being auctioned.
You can reserve a seat when an auction is available for pre-booking (when its start date and time has not yet been scheduled) or booking (when its start date and time has been scheduled).
Typically seats are offered at a greatly reduced price when an auction is in the pre-booking phase.
Payment for a pre-booked seat is only taken from your card once the auction's start date and time is confirmed, i.e. when the auction moves to the booking phase.
If you book your seat when an auction is in its booking phase, the payment is taken immediately.
Booking phases will be at least 10 days if preceded by a pre-booking phase.
VAT is included in the displayed charge per seat. If you are within the European Union we will need to charge VAT.
If you are outside the EU you will be prompted to confirm your non-EU status, and if appropriate, VAT will deducted from the price charged.
This is to ensure that each auction is a level playing field.
It also limits the amount of money each participant pays to bid in an auction.
When you login, your booking reference for the auction will be visible where the seat price normally appears. It is also displayed on the auction's page.
Also, if the auction's date is confirmed, you will be able to access the auction's console and queue bids before the auction starts.
If you cannot see a booking reference and have not received a booking confirmation email (only for auctions that are not free) then you have not successfully booked a seat.
There are a limited number of seats for each auction.
The seat limit is based on the value of the lot, the seat price and the maximum number of bids per seat, so each auction will have a different number of available seats.
To be fair to users who have reserved a seat, we do not allow new entrants to the auction once bidding has started.
However, if you have a seat you can start bidding after the auction has started as long as it is still live
We have restrictions in place to prevent the same user from buying more than one seat in a specific auction.
If a user should attempt to contravene our terms and conditions, their participation in an auction will be rendered invalid and their account(s) will be blocked.
For each auction we set an upper limit for the bids that users can place per seat and as long as the auction is live, you can place bids up to this maximum.
The maximum bids per seat is based on the value of the lot, the maximum number of seats available for the auction and the seat price.
Every seat in an auction has the same maximum number of bids.
If the maximum bid is not shown for the auction, then the maximum bid that will be accepted is the displayed value of the lot.

You can cancel a pre-booked seat as long as the auction hasn't moved to the booking phase.
To cancel a pre-booked seat you will need to login, select the relevant booking from you payment details and click the cancel button. You will not incur any costs for cancelling a pre-booking seat.
Once an auction has transitioned to the booked phase, seats cannot be cancelled.
Pre-booked seats do not require a refund as your card was never charged.
We are sorry but we do not offer refunds once an auction is in its booking phase.
Auctions, other than practice auctions, will accept bids for a period of 7 days or more.
The number of days an auction will be open for bidding will be announced when the auction date is confirmed.
